Garden Club

• The Rolling Meadows Garden Club hosts Mari Mackenbach to demonstrate floral arrangements for fall and Halloween from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10 at the Rolling Meadows Community Center, 3705 Pheasant Drive, Rolling Meadows. Demonstration

• Horticulture information specialists Jennifer Brennan leads a demonstration on fall perennial garden maintenance with pruning, transplanting and more from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12 and Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Chalet Education Center, 3132 Lake Ave., Wilmette. Chicago Botanic Garden

• A farmers market will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7.

• Model Sailboat Sunday will feature races and more from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7.

• An open house for the Chicago Botanic Garden's Certificate Programs is 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10. Reservations required. Call (847) 835-8261.

• The 28th anniversary of the Roadside Flower Sale is from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fridays, Sept. 12 through Sunday, Sept. 14.

• A Dixon Prairie Walk is from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12. Cost is $15. Reservations recommended.

• Produce from the Chicago Botanic Garden's Green Youth Farm is for sale from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays through Oct. 4.
