When: 6 p.m. today at Wallace Wade Stadium

Pay-per-view Internet: www.accselect.com

Radio: WYLL 1160-AM, WNUR 89.3-FM

Series: Duke leads 8-7.

Coaches: Pat Fitzgerald (11-14, third year at Northwestern); David Cutcliffe (1-0, first year at Duke; 45-29, seventh year overall).

Players to watch: Northwestern senior RB Tyrell Sutton is back to his old self. He rushed for 144 yards, caught 4 passes and scored his 30th career touchdown in last week's 30-10 win over Syracuse. Junior S Brendan Smith, who missed the final nine games last year with two injured shoulders, celebrated his return with an interception he toook back for a score.

Duke senior RB Clifford Harris posted 95 yards and 2 touchdowns last week against James Madison. WR Eron Riley caught 7 passes for 67 yards and the Devils' other two scores. DE Wesley Oglesby, who harassed C.J. Bacher throughout last year's upset loss, started this season with 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack and 1 forced fumble.

The skinny: Northwestern can't do anything about last year's stunning 20-14 loss to Duke, which cost the 'Cats a bowl bid and gave the Blue Devils their only win over a Bowl Championship Subdivision team in their last 34 tries. All Northwestern can do is avoid the same fate this time around. It will help that senior RB Tyrell Sutton, who missed the Duke game with a bad ankle, will be primed this time.

"We allowed (the Duke loss) to drag with us for a couple of weeks," said Fitzgerald, whose costly first-half decision to take a field goal off the board hampered NU's subsequent rally. "I believe the maturity of our leadership is in a better place, the maturity of our team is better. But last year is out of our control. Our focus now is improving on what we learned from the (Syracuse) tape."
