Italian deli, gelateria opens in Bartlett

BARTLETT - Bartlett residents Dan and Laura Driesbach opened Barese Italian Deli & Gelateria in Bartlett Town Center, 225 S. Main St. Barese offers a full range of made-to-order sandwiches and panninis made with fresh imported meats and cheeses, homemade salads, soups, panzerotti and arancini. Barese also features homemade gelato in a variety of flavors as well as cannoli and tiramisu. They feature LaVazza coffee and espresso. Outdoor seating is available. Laura's family originated from Bari, Italy and provided her with the background to prepare traditional Italian meals and desserts. Dan is a full-time Cicero firefighter in addition to running the new deli. Barese is closed Sundays.
