Suspects arrested in Barrington Hills home invasion

Barrington Hills police say three of four suspects in a home invasion near Bateman and Lake-Cook roads Aug. 16 are now in custody.

Police aren't yet naming the individuals, who remain in the custody of another jurisidiction, while authorities follow up leads on the fourth suspect for whom they already have a partial identity.

Barrington Hills Investigations Sgt. Ron Riedel said some of the suspects are believed to have been involved in a similar Aug. 22 home invasion and robbery in Elgin.

Elgin police last week announced the arrest of three Elgin men - Donnell J. Lyle, 22, of 1055 Hunter Drive; Daniel A. Feliciano, 20, of 2407 Day Break Court; and Christian J. Lopez-Bonilla, 19, of 119 Tennyson Court - as well as Leville Starks, 32, of 100 Bounty Drive, and Frederick J. Neal, 34, of 100 Bounty Lane, both of Poplar Grove; along with a sixth man not yet named.

The five named suspects were charged with home invasion and and armed robbery.

As far as which of them are also believed to be connected to the Barrington Hills incident, Riedel would say only that all three Barrington Hills suspects came into the custody of other jurisdictions last week.

Some of the personal property taken during the Barrington Hills home invasion has been recovered, Riedel said.

Police continue to work with the Cook County State's Attorney's office on the filing of criminal charges even as the search for the fourth suspect continues.

Though suspects are in custody, police continue to investigate the incident and anyone with information is still being asked to call the investigations division at (847) 551-3006.
