Welcome home to our 5 local Marines

There have been numerous articles and news clips on the return home of Battalion 2/24 Weapons Co, Fox Co and H&S Co, a Marine Reserve unit out of Illinois.

My son was one of those Marines returning home from his second tour in Iraq, so I had the pleasure of attending the welcome home event.

I would like to thank representatives of the Allstate Arena for everything that they did to hold the biggest and best welcome home party for these well deserving Marines.

I would also like to thank the Marine units back here in Illinois for arranging and organizing the event.

There were numerous police and fire departments there as well, and of course, a big thanks to the wonderful Patriot Guards who always welcome home our military men and women in style on their motorcycles.

In addition to this I would like to welcome home and thank five Rolling Meadows Marines. These fine young men deserve a big thank you for their service and commitment. They are:

Cpl. Leonard Jagla, Cpl. Marcos Garcia, LCpl. Marcus Brightwell, LCpl. Michael Wiebe and LCpl. Brian Wiebe. Thank you, Marines and Welcome home to Rolling Meadows!
