Briefs: Dundee Republicans meet
The Dundee Township Republican Central Committee will hold its 15th annual family picnic from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday at Max Freeman Memorial Park, at the corner of Third and North streets in East Dundee. Candidates for local, state and other races will be on hand to meet attendees. Lunch will be served from noon to 2 p.m. Meal tickets are available prior to the event or at the gate and an $8 donation per person is requested. In celebration of its 150th anniversary, the Kane County Bar Association has scheduled monthly Ask a Lawyer Days throughout 2008. Campton cruise nights
Weekly "cruise nights" featuring hot rods and vintage vehicles are planned through September in Campton Hills. The events take place from 6 to 9 p.m. every Friday at Campton Crossings shopping center along Route 64. Cruise nights also include '50s and '60s music and trophies.
