Top chefs turn kids' food fancy

Eleven top Chicago-area chefs will turn traditional children's dishes into gourmet delicacies at the Kohl Children's Museum's "Night of a Thousand Clean Plates" fundraiser. This family-friendly tasting event features favorites such as grilled cheese, sloppy joes and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches - all transformed into gourmet meals. Proceeds will benefit StoryBus, a children's museum on wheels that travels to low-income schools.

You say tomato ...

Osteria Di Tramonto will host an Heirloom Tomato Harvest Dinner, celebrating the flavor of this year's tomato harvest. Kinnikinnick Farm, an organic farm near the Wisconsin border, provides the tomatoes for the dishes. Italian wines are featured along with the food.

Welcome to McCormick and Schmick's
