3 killed in downstate crash

Authorities in LaSalle County are investigating a single vehicle accident that left three people dead and critically injured another person.

In a news release, the LaSalle County Sheriff's Office says a Dodge pickup truck left the roadway early Sunday near Allen Township on County Highway 39. Authorities say the vehicle overturned several times.

Four occupants were ejected from the truck.

The LaSalle County Coroner pronounced two males and one female dead on the scene.

A fourth female was air-lifted to OSF Saint Francis Hospital in Peoria. She was reported in critical condition.
