GAMA International, a professional organization in the financial service industry, awarded Country Financial agency manager Rick Bristow of Geneva its Gold International Management Award for excellence in management. Bristow, who manages the St. Charles office, received the award for his superior sales and service to clients and for excelling in the leadership, recruitment, encouragement, and professional growth and development of the agents in his office.
Nevin Dulabaum will serve as president of Brethren Benefit Trust, the financial services ministry of the Church of the Brethren, Elgin, beginning Sept. 7. Dulabaum, who currently is director of communications and information services, will succeed Will Nolen, who is retiring after 20 years as Brethren Benefit Trust's president and 25 years as the Brethren Pension Plan's trustee. Dulabaum will also serve as president of the Brethren Foundation, which provides investment management services to Brethren churches, agencies and others.
Paula S. Jones of Naperville was installed as the first female president of the Academy of General Dentistry during the organization's 56th annual Meeting and Exhibits in Orlando, Fla. Jones has been a member of the academy for nearly 25 years.
The Illinois State Association of Health Underwriters elected the following officers for the 2008-09 year: John Garven of Huntley, president; Michele Thornton of Oak Forest president-elect; Lou Reginelli of Naperville, vice president; Brenda Franklin of Peoria, secretary; and Wilbur Mills of Park Ridge, treasurer.
Residential mortgage lender Platinum Home Mortgage Corp. of Rolling Meadows appointed H.A. Tony Davis senior executive vice president of the company's Midwest expansion division, responsible for residential origination and operations.
Wheaton resident Lena DeJohn was nominated by her peers to receive the third annual Dr. Tom Williams Peer Award for Clinical Excellence at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield. DeJohn was recognized for her leadership, volunteerism and clinical excellence.

Allyson Marcus joined Northbrook-based KemperLesnik as a senior account executive, responsible for finance, technology and risk and insurance clients. Additionally, KemperLesnik promoted Susan Chang to account executive from assistant account executive, responsible for key golf and sports clients.
