Tough questions for Sen. McCain
A letter to Sen. McCain:
Regarding your adviser's comments: Have 5-7 million people not lost their health insurance in the last 7-8 years?
Did Starbucks not close 500 plus locations?
Are we not borrowing from other (unsavory) countries and companies based there to pay for the government's daily (foreign) operations?
When you do vote, do you not vote against GI/Veterans' legislation?
Did you not vow to avoid sponsoring any earmark legislation for your state despite that this how many public safety agencies receive funding to upgrade their equipment and emergency management capabilities?
Is consumer confidence not as low as it's been reported?
Is OPEC not considering abandoning the dollar?
Are Americans not experiencing the difficulties of relatives at war for a year and, in one division's case over two years at a time, of organizations that continually 're-strategize' or 'offshore,' and of the threat of a dwindling safety net for these fairly common situations?
Were you not involved in untoward dealings with financial organizations?
Maybe you're right and none of this happened, despite what's been reported in the media. If this were the case, maybe some of us could be referred to (crudely) as "whiners."
However, it could also be that most if not all of the above HAS happened and these negative, unstable trends have not completed whatever course they're on. If so, maybe we aren't whiners. MAYBE, we're realists forced to contend with the policies of members of your party including your buddy George. If the latter is true, many currently in office should be ashamed at how our troops, our nation's workers, and our nation's children, who'll bear the brunt of these ill-conceived policies and debt until the day the die, have been treated.
