Barrington

• An unlocked storage shed on the 400 block of Washington Street was burglarized overnight Aug. 25-26; taken were items worth about $75. Someone also tampered with a deadbolt lock on the home's front door but did not get inside.

• A man took $94 in baby formula from Jewel/Osco, 150 W. Main St., around 2:35 p.m. Aug. 25. He fled in a 2003 Suzuki hatchback when confronted by a security agent.

• Catalytic converters were stolen off two 2008 Honda Pilots and one 2009 Honda Pilot at Motor Werks, 1475 S. Barrington Road, between 10 p.m. Aug. 23 and 7 a.m. Aug. 25. The theft was valued at $1,200.

• Jeffrey S. Gregory, 23, 5010 Rochester Drive, Barrington, was arrested around 9 p.m. Aug. 23 on Roselle Road north of Colonial Parkway, and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. His court date is Sept. 19.

• Lucas Cardona, 20, 1067 Apple Blossom Court, Lake Zurich, was arrested around 3:50 a.m. Aug. 23 on Ela Road at Hillside Road and charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. His court date is Sept. 19.

• A 2001 Dodge Durango in a business lot on the 1000 block of South Northwest Highway was broken into between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Aug. 24 and a purse stolen. The loss and damage was estimated at $535.

• A home on the 400 block of Park Lane was burglarized around 6 p.m. Aug. 24; a purse and CDs were stolen. A loss estimate was not available.

Palatine

• Someone stole two taillight assemblies from a 2003 Chevrolet S10 pickup at the main entrance to Arlington Kia, 1400 E. Dundee Road overnight Aug. 25-26. The loss was estimated at $400.

• A $70 patio umbrella was stolen from a home on the 200 block of North Linden Avenue between noon Aug. 25 and 7 a.m. Aug. 26.

• Jordan S. Goldfarb, 27, 803 Highland Grove, Buffalo Grove, was arrested around 6:25 p.m. Aug. 23 at Cunningham Drive and Thackeray Drive and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. A court date was not available.
