Time has become biggest Obama foe
Mondale, Dukakis, Gore, Kerry. Is Obama going to be added to this list as yet another weak nominee from the Democrats?
If our national elections were held in May or June, I would have to say no. If they were held right now, it would be close. But being they are not until November, I'm thinking that his name will fit in quiet nicely with the others.
The more time that passes, the more time Americans have to figure out that Obama gives a good speech and he also he also, ahhh, gives a real good speech.
The national media's desire to be part of history has fueled their marketing scheme so far, but like all marketing, it has a shelf life and the expiration date is approaching fast on this one.
Recently, I heard a journalist speak glowingly about how Obama is "polling at over 80 percent with German citizens." Well, isn't that useful information? I guess that could be offset by McCain getting the nod from, let's say, 90 percent of Irish citizens.
Then there was the Democrat convention in Denver where we heard from Bill and Hillary as well as Joe Biden who are all claiming Obama is the man.
These are the same people who three months earlier were all saying things like "He isn't ready," "He has no experience" and "This is not an on-the-job-training kind of position."
Does this not beg the question, "Should we believe you then or should we believe you now?"
We've got a little over two months for Obama and the Democrats to continue this farce and I have to bet they are all hoping there won't be any more Georgia-Russia type incidents or anything serious transpire in the way of national security that would require Obama to address without a script or teleprompter.
If by some chance he were to be elected, it would then be time for all of us to hope nothing serious happens for the next four years.
