Bean not standing up for constituents
As a citizen of Melissa Bean's district it is important that we know what kind of contributions our current representative is accepting from PACs. Campaigning should not be about trying to receive as much money from whoever will give it to you. Bean needs to understand that by accepting money from the Countrywide PAC she is telling her citizens that fraudulent lending practices are OK. In addition, it shows that she has no sympathy for the citizens in her district who were approved for loans that they could not afford and now are in financial crisis.
It seems like Steve Greenberg is doing Bean's job by standing up for the citizens and demanding she return the money. However, returning the questionable contribution in my eyes does not solve the problem or show that Bean is reforming Washington. Bean might be our current representative, but in the next election I will be looking for a true candidate of change. I believe that Steve Greenberg has what it takes to solve my family's concerns and problems, whether that is finding ways to give citizens relief from gas prices, eliminating earmarks or curbing corruption.
