A bittersweet night for Clinton supporters

I had no idea how difficult it would be to be a Hillary delegate at an Obama convention.

Today is Women's Equality Day - the 88th anniversary of women's voting rights. I was hoping to be here to nominate the first woman for president.

And that's not going to happen.

So tonight I will go to hear Hillary speak. She will tell us she is supporting Obama and that McCain is bad for America.

I agree but I still think Hillary Clinton would be the best president and I will cast my vote as a Clinton delegate for Hillary Clinton.

We will have to be ever vigilant to protect our rights even with an Obama president.

Tomorrow, Hillary delegates will meet with Hillary Clinton.

Then we will do the roll call.

• Gay E. Bruhn, Ed.D., of Aurora, a Hillary Clinton delegate, is a first-time delegate to the Democratic National Convention.
