Guardianship is a kind of slavery

There were about 490,000 people enslaved in Virginia in 1860. There are over 18,000 people completely controlled by county or state guardianship in Illinois.

Guardianship systems in Illinois tend to treat people like they are slaves and property of Cook County and Illinois.

Cook County Guardian charges money to visit family, phone family, have family avoid smokers associated with cancer, have family come home, have family get fresh air, go to the zoo, go to birthday, go to museums, visit home, go to reunions, request seeing your own doctor, know where family is, ask for a dental bill to be reimbursed.

They dispute reimbursement of care-giving bills to make money, take mail and withhold chemicals put into family.

I requested with some officials a bill or law so that ward and family rights be respected, but nothing has come of it so far.
