Seals' energy policy: Been there, done that

Albert Einstein once defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. By those standards we should send the men in white coats to pick up Dan Seals. We can use his energy "policy" as evidence.

Dan Seals' new energy plan, I call it new because he didn't have one as recently as two weeks ago, is a blast from the past. The 1970s to be exact. All your old favorites are there, from refusing to drill domestically to demanding investigations into fictitious oil company "price gouging." He makes no mention of nuclear power or what we're supposed to do while we wait for alternative energy to be sufficiently developed. Seals looks less like Barack Obama and more like Jimmy Carter.

Our nation is in an energy crisis and we won't get out of it by listening to Dan Seals and wasting valuable time with farcical hearings while refusing explore our own energy reserves. We need concrete action and new ideas. It doesn't look like Dan Seals is inclined to provide either.
