Editorial was right on animal cruelty
The Aug. 21 editorial "Animal Cruelty Is Not A Minor Crime" was compassionate, compelling and irrefutable.
Animal abusers do have a proclivity to commit acts of violence against humans.
Animals are God's creatures. To intentionally harm, torture and kill an innocent animal is an affront to the creator.
Many of history's greatest humanitarians detested cruelty to animals including Leonardo da Vinci, Leo Tolstoy, Mahatma Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln, Albert Schweitzer, John Wesley and William Booth the Christian founder of the Salvation Army.
Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism are three major religions that encourage their adherents to be kind to all sentient beings.
We should all agree.
