Drive-by wounds 5 on Chicago's South Side
Authorities say five people have been wounded, with three in serious to critical condition, after a drive-by shooting on Chicago's South Side.
Police spokeswoman Sergeant Antoinette Ursitti says the shooting occurred shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday as a group of people stood on 107th Street near Wabash Avenue. She says a vehicle approached and numerous shots were fired.
Fire Department spokesman Joe Roccasalva (roc-uh-SAL'-va) says the victims range in age from 16 to 21 years old.
He says three of the injured are in serious to critical condition at Stroger Hospital in Chicago and Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Park. He says two others are in fair condition.
