Writers' Theatre reviving 'Nixon's Nixon'
Writers' Theatre revives its acclaimed production of "Nixon's Nixon," Russell Lees' imagined exchange between Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger on the night before the momentous day Nixon resigned the presidency. Two of Chicago's best, William Brown and Larry Yando, reprise their roles in this production directed by Michael Halberstam.

Politically charged love triangle
Two-year-old Arlington Heights-based Hidden Talent Theatre Company opens its season with Neil Simon's "The Star Spangled Girl." Set in the 1960s, the romantic comedy centers around left-wing writers and roommates Andy and Norman, who find themselves involved in a love triangle with their comely, conservative neighbor.

A Republican senator is about to declare his presidential candidacy when his son makes an announcement that could derail his father's political ambitions in Gore Vidal's "Weekend." Former American Theatre Company artistic director Damon Kiely directs the Timeline Theatre production, whose powerhouse cast includes Janet Ulrich Brooks, Terry Hamilton and Penny Slusher.
