The day we began to devalue human life
In response to Cal Thomas' "Government can't set price on life" on Monday Aug. 4, I have an answer to Cal's question regarding pinpointing the precise beginning of the cultural tsunami that has devalued human life.
I was alerted in 1954. I took a class in medical ethics from a professor from Loyola University during nurses training. Our professor said these words which I have never forgotten:
"The day contraceptives become widely accepted and used, you will see abortion, infanticide, and euthanasia will follow (in that order)."
We are seeing it all now.
