Man dies in S. Illinois tractor accident

PRAIRIETOWN -- Authorities say a 21-year-old man has died in a tractor accident in unincorporated Madison County.
Investigators say Lucas Wiemers was driving the tractor and hauling a wagon on Saturday when the tractor's wheels hit a rut in the road, tossing Wiemers off. The rear wheels then ran over him.
Wells says the tractor's wheels hit a rut in the road, the man fell off and was run over by the tractor's rear wheels.
Wiemers died later at a hospital in Staunton.
No one else was injured in the accident.
