Prices too high at Navy commissary

I am a disabled veteran of the Vietnam War and appalled at the prices the exchange and commissary charge the G. I. s for their products. These stores were in place to allow the people to afford things that were to expensive for the G.I. Why they are in business is a mystery to me. I visited the commissary and didn't find one item that I couldn't get cheaper at an Aldi's, Garden Fresh or any dollar store. I think that an investigation is in order to find out why the prices are so high. My suggestion to the Navy is LOWER the prices or close the stores. If we can give away billions to countries that hate us it is only common sense to give the G.I. a discount because they are the same people that we call on to defend us against those receiving the money. I think it is time for Obama, Kirk, McCain and Bush along with the media to visit a store and stop the gauging. Take me with you because I have to live on a fixed income and know the prices. Many of the people serving must buy there because they have no means to shop outside for less money. I am sick of the American attitude of "RIP OFF YOUR NEIGHBOR BEFORE HE RIPS YOU OFF."
