Lawyer posts addresses of priests in abuse lawsuits

A lawyer has posted addresses and phone numbers online of several priests named in sexual abuse lawsuits that the Archdiocese of Chicago settled for $12.7 million.

Minnesota-based attorney Jeff Anderson represented some of the victims. He says he wants to alert people that accused individuals live in their communities.

The post on Anderson's firm Web site — Jeff Anderson & Associates — outlines the last known contact information for several priests and a former Catholic school principal cited in the lawsuits.

This week, the Archdiocese settled 16 cases involving sexual abuse by eleven different priests. Three of the priests are dead. Two are in prison.

An Archdiocese spokeswoman says Anderson informed church officials he'd post the information online.
