Lime reports loss, continues to boost operations

ELK GROVE VILLAGE - Lime Energy Co., a provider of energy efficiency solutions, Friday reported a net loss of $4.5 million for the second quarter, compared to a net loss of $2 million during the same period last year. Revenue increased 69 percent to $6.9 million, or 57 cents a share, compared to $4.1 million, or 27 cents a share, for the same period last year. The company has hired 21 new employees; purchased additional equipment for installations; expanded offices in San Diego and Ventura, Calif., and continued to upgrade existing technology.
