CASA Kane County schedules info meetings

CASA Kane County will hold informational meetings for anyone interested in becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteer for abused and neglected children on the following dates:

4 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 13; 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15; 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18; and 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19. All meetings will take place at the CASA office inside the Kane County Courthouse at 100 S. Third St. in Geneva, suite 460.

CASA Kane County has been advocating for the best interests of abused and neglected children since 1988. Last year, 200 CASA volunteers represented 466 children.

Candidates must complete CASA Kane County's training program which begins Sept. 30. Classes are offered during the mornings and evenings. For more information about volunteering, call Deb McQuaid at (630) 444-3110, or visit Web site www.casakanecounty.org.
