Prosecutor going to DeKalb
A prosecutor is leaving his position in Kane County after seven years to become first assistant state's attorney in DeKalb County, officials announced this week. Bill Engerman, 45, joined the Kane County state's attorney's office in 2001 and was lead prosecutor in the recent convictions of two Aurora gang leaders charged a 1989 murder. In a statement, Kane County State's Attorney John Barsanti said his office is "sad to lose a lawyer of such skill, determination and professionalism."
