River/Algonquin Road reopens in Barrington Hills

After being closed for three weeks for construction, River Road/Algonquin Road in Barrington Hills has reopened to traffic today.

The street had been closed about 300 feet west of Braeburn Road while a storm sewer culvert was replaced. The culvert directs a Spring Creek tributary that eventually flows into the Fox River.

During construction, motorists were detoured around the area along Braeburn, Spring Creek and Haegers Bend roads.
