Michael H. Adams joined Chicago-based ChildServ, a social service organization, as director of advocacy and church relations, responsible for outreach to governments and churches and building support for programs and services in Cook, DuPage and Lake counties.

Gurnee resident Ryan Williams received the Outstanding President of the Year Award on behalf of the Center for Student Involvement at Truman State University. Williams is currently a senior business major at the university and involved in the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.

Elgin-based Hendrick Metal Products, a precision sheet metal fabricator and perforator, announced the addition of Michael Wyer as territory sales manager for the Midwest region. Wyer holds a master of arts degree from DePaul University and has several years experience working in the metal processing and fabrication industry.

Martin Forward, an Aurora University religion professor, was named an area editor for the "Encyclopedia of the Bible and Its Reception," a 10-year project encompassing 30 volumes of 500 pages each by a 34-member editorial board, authors worldwide and an online edition.

LaGrange resident Beth Reissenweber, was named vice president for finance at Aurora University. Reissenweber will serve as the chief financial officer, responsible for recommending and implementing policies and strategies to assure the university's increasing financial strength.

Russell Zitny accepted the position of director of field sales for business services for the Greater Chicago region of Schaumburg-based Comcast. Zitny will lead a team of business account executives and sales managers targeting small and mid-sized businesses across Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. He has more than 30 years of experience holding senior-level business-to-business sales positions in the communications, Internet, software and services fields.

Nalco Co., Naperville, hired David E. Flitman as executive vice president and president of the company's industrial and institutional services division. Additionally, Nalco named Mary Kay Kaufmann group vice president, chief marketing officer and Louis L. Loosbrock group vice president, business development.

Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital, Wheaton, named Dr. Keith M. D'Souza associate medical director of its Brain Injury program. D'Souza is also on staff at Central DuPage Hospital, Edward Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital and Rush-Copley Medical Center.

Consumers Credit Union, Waukegan, hired Delia Garcia of Waukegan as a real estate loan officer and Heather Mentzer of Lindenhurst as executive assistant to the president.

The American Culinary Federation honored John Kaufmann of Antioch, Chicago Chefs of Cuisine Inc., retired, with its president's award for contributions to the culinary industry over the past year.

UAL Corp., the holding company whose primary subsidiary is United Airlines, named Timothy Canavan vice president of maintenance and aircraft appearance for the United States. Canavan will lead the company's line maintenance and aircraft appearance teams to improve the reliability, workability and interior cleanliness of United's fleet.
