Naperville woman accused of bilking investor

A former employee of a Naperville investment firm is facing criminal allegations after she was accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a client's account.

Amy L. Brown, 30, is expected to be arraigned Monday on three felony counts of theft. DuPage Circuit Judge John Kinsella will preside over the court hearing.

Police said Brown was employed at Financial Network Corp.in Naperville when she stole $10,200 from Sept. 28 to March 12 during an alleged theft scheme.

Brown, 820 Beaumont Drive, no longer works for the firm. A message left with the company was not immediately returned Friday.

Brown posted $2,000 cash bail July 11.

A DuPage County grand jury indicted her earlier this week, according to court records released Friday. If convicted, she faces a possible sentence of probation or up to seven years in prison. She is expected to plead innocent at arraignment.
