Fugitive on McHenry County wanted list arrested

For the second time in recent weeks, a fugitive on the McHenry County Sheriff Office's 10 Most Wanted list has been arrested.

Quartez Conway, whose last known address was in Woodstock, was arrested Wednesday following a traffic stop in Oak Lawn. Police later learned Conway was wanted on charges concerning the delivery and possession of heroin, authorities said.

Conway had been wanted in McHenry County since August 2006, the sheriff's office said. He was No. 7 on the most wanted list.

The first arrest of someone appearing on the relatively new list occurred July 17 when Robert T. Cechini, formerly of Crystal Lake, was arrested in Louisiana following an anonymous call to police.

Cechini was wanted here on charges including unlawful restraint, theft, aggravated domestic battery and harassment by telephone.

Fugitives are chosen for the list based on the severity of their crimes.
