Auditor's office missing Marianne

In a small office, the supervisor and staff must function as a team in order to fulfill their duties and accomplish office objectives. In so doing, the team members achieve the bond of friendship. The Kane County Auditor's office is no exception.

Marianne Delaney brought her pleasant personality, technical skill and work ethic to the auditor's office in 2003. She was a loyal, dedicated employee and an asset to the auditor's office and Kane County government.

While an employee of the auditor's office, Marianne was diagnosed in 2005 with thymic cancer. She continued working until weakened by the disease and subsequent treatment. Marianne remained an employee until she was eligible for disability compensation.

Marianne experienced periods of remission and continued with her cancer treatment. She was able to attend our holiday social gatherings and renew friendships. The auditor's office is saddened by Marianne's passing, and we will miss our colleague and friend.
