Pitching matchups: The Cubs' Ryan Dempster (12-4) vs. Brian Moehler (6-4); Rich Harden (1-1) vs. Wandy Rodriguez (6-4); Jason Marquis (6-7) vs. Brandon Backe (6-10).

At a glance: Fourth-place Houston begins a six-game road trip with three games against the division-leading Cubs. The Cubs are 4-5 against Houston this season, 2-1 at Wrigley Field. Though they trail the Cubs by 13 games, the Astros have won seven of their last nine, and three straight after a weekend sweep of the Mets in Houston. The Cubs won't face new acquisition Randy Wolf, who threw 5 shutout innings in a 4-0 win against New York on Sunday.
