Obama has earned no special favors

I would like to respond to Mike Sullivan's letter (July 24). In it, he suggests that since Barrack Obama is ahead in the polls, he is deserving of pre-election honors such as speaking at the Brandenburg Gate.

Right, and since the Bears topped last year's pre-season polls, they deserved a Super Bowl berth.

Sorry, Barrack and Bears fans. That is why they play the games.
