Storm, heat warnings for area

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for much of northern Illinois today and tonight.

According to forecasts, the area will see thunderstorms with possible damaging wind and large hail, along with dangerously high temperatures. The Heat Index will likely hit 100 or greater, with a high in the low 90s.

The chance of storms will continue into Tuesday, although temperatures will start to fall. The high Tuesday through Thursday is 85.
