Two fatally shot in Chicago

Chicago police say two people, including a teenager, have been fatally shot in the South Austin neighborhood of the city's West Side.

Officers say the shootings took place Saturday afternoon on North Lotus Avenue just north of Washington Boulevard.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's office has identified the victims as 27-year-old James Brandon of suburban Melrose Park and 16-year-old Steven Nelson of Chicago.

They were pronounced dead at the scene.
