The long search for the perfect hot dog
Upon reading your article on hot dogs, it prompted me to write this letter.
I have been going to a hot dog place since the '50s that was great.
It started out on Milwaukee near Austin in Chicago and later moved to the area of Irving Park and Milwaukee.
It has been such a hit with my family that every time my brother comes in from New York, we make at least two trips to get hot dogs.
Well, they have sold and the new owner just doesn't come up to the standard of the original owner.
We went in this March only to find a three-story high rise built in its place.
They always advertise it as a meal on a bun, and that was the true description of the product.
Out of desperation, we tried another restaurant. It was a good hot dog but doesn't even compare to Bowser Dog from the city.
I intend to try the other hot dog places that you recommend in your article with the hopes of finding one that compares to Bowser Dog.
