Stores have created a parking problem

I am writing this opinion as a resident of Lakewood Crossings in Naperville. We live right by the brand new shopping center that includes Whole Foods and several other stores. Just as Whole Foods was opening up, my husband and I noticed a very bizarre amount of cars parked on Audrey Road behind the new shopping center.

No one ever parks on this street. It was a street that was always empty of parked cars and allowed drivers to safely drive to and from our subdivision. Now, Audrey has about 100 cars parked on both sides of the streets for all of the employees for the new stores that were built. Our question is, why did the new stores not allow for their employee parking to be in the parking lot instead of crowding our residential street? This is dangerous for all residents in Lakewood Crossings - pedestrians and drivers.

This is just the beginning of this mess. There are at least four other stores set to open up this fall. Then Audrey will be even more crowded with employee cars.

I think something needs to be done about this mess. I think employees should not be allowed to park on a residential street. If you get a chance, head down Audrey... It is a mess and potentially very dangerous!

Thanks.
