Providence builder brings popular floor plan back
Town and Country Homes announced it is welcoming back the Newport floor plan at its Providence master-plan community in Elgin.
The Newport plan is part of the extensive Blackstone series of homes at this community. There are 270 Blackstones series homes at Providence, starting in the $320,000s. Providence also highlights 73 larger Cape Cod series estate homes priced from the $470,000s.
Along with these single-family homes, there are also two-story front-load garage townhouses with rear patio living offered at Providence, with prices beginning in the $170,000s. Decorated and furnished models are open for tours daily.
"The Newport has been reintroduced at Providence because our buyers were asking for it and we are glad to bring this floor plan back," said Brian Murphy, vice president of operations for Town and Country Homes.
The Blackstone series at Providence features an broad selection of 15 two-story homes sized from 2,266 to 3,544 square feet, each in a range of attractive exterior styles. Prices range from the $320,000s to the $390,000s.
The Newport model measures about 3,000 square feet, with four bedrooms, 2 baths, loft, basement and three-car garage as standard. The Newport is priced from the low $300,000s.
The Newport's first floor starts with an entry foyer featuring a guest closet. The foyer opens into the large great room, with the center staircase also opening to this room. The great room leads into the kitchen and family room area. The family room is open to the eat-in kitchen, with features a large center island with breakfast bar, pantry and plenty of countertop space.
Additional features on the first floor include a den located behind the family room, a centrally located laundry and mudroom that accesses the garage, and a powder room located in the foyer. Nine-foot ceilings are featured throughout the first floor.
Upstairs, the Newport has loft space near the top of the stairs. Two of the three secondary bedrooms feature a walk-in closet. A hall bath with linen closet is located across from the loft.
The Newport's master suite has a spacious bedroom sleeping area, a deep walk-in closet and a private full bath.
The Newport comes in three stylish exterior elevations including colonial and farmhouse looks. Each elevation is loaded with architectural details and can include brick trim, faux dormers, covered front entryways, decorative shutters and columns.
