Sara Lee to offer new dressings

Sara Lee is offering a line of dressings to spice up the all-American homemade sandwich.

The company's new Fresh Ideas Sandwich Dressings are aimed at helping people add a bit of gourmet to that sandwich -- whether at home or on the go. The dressings come in flavors: Sweet Honey Mustard, Creamy Ranch, Savory Horseradish with Garlic, Smokey Bacon, Zesty Pepper Trio Mustard and Sub Sandwich Oil.

The line comes after a company study that found consumers enjoy the taste and variety of restaurant sandwiches but are hesitant to use specialty sauces on homemade sandwiches for fear they'll make the meal soggy.

Sara Lee's new line is designed to be portable so people can put the sauces on when they want.
