Vote for Obama for secure future

"More troops died in Afghanistan than Iraq in June and July 2008." Sadly, the unnecessary war of choice against Iraq caused our country to abandon our focus on the central front of the 'war on terror' in Afghanistan. Al Quaida is now stronger, bolder and more influential than it was before Sept. 11. Had we avoided the disastrous war in Iraq and had we stayed the course in Afghanistan, concentrating on killing Bin Laden and destroying Al Quaida, then that war would have been won years ago.

As Sen. McCain says, "you don't pull troops until the war is won." Additionally more than 4,100 U.S. soldiers would not have died. Sen. McCain also not only voted for the war against Iraq in 2002, he has stated on numerous occasions during 2008 that the Iraq war was worth it. Sen. McCain's judgment and perspective is way too narrow concerning our national security. He appears to have the same cowboy mentality that President Bush has. I believe Sen. Obama has exhibited the peripheral vision, insight, communicative abilities and toughness to assure our national security in a complex world.
