To conserve gas, slow the car down
I was driving on I-90. I was doing 60 mph. I was also the slowest vehicle on the road.
As I watched everyone pass me at 70 mph or more, a very real thought came over me.
These people have no want or will to conserve fuel.
So I found a real solution to this problem. Make a universal speed limit of 60 mph on all interstate highways in the United States.
Anyone going faster than 60 mph would receive a fine. First fine, $250, Then, progressive thereafter.
No one gets off. The states could install cameras and electronic equipment to help the police.
If no one in this country wants to conserve, they should be forced to.
The revenue could be used to offset the cost of the program.
It is time to wake up, people. We are running out of options.
