The 45-year-old Moyer earned his 240th career victory, tying him with Frank Tanana for 12th place among left-handers in major-league history.

Rockies 7, Pirates 4: Aaron Cook won his 14th game, and Troy Tulowitzki had 3 hits as Colorado beat host Pittsburgh to avoid a sweep. Chris Iannetta hit a 3-run homer, and Garrett Atkins, Matt Holliday and Willy Taveras had 2 hits each for Colorado, which improved to 10-3 since the all-star break.
Reds 9, Astros 5: Adam Dunn homered twice, Ken Griffey Jr. added a 3-run shot, and Cincinnati snapped an eight-game skid against host Houston.
Diamondbacks 7, Padres 3: Dan Haren pitched 7 solid innings, Chad Tracy and Mark Reynolds each drove in 2 runs, and Arizona beat host San Diego.
Dodgers 4, Giants 0: Matt Kemp scored twice, stole two bases and extended his hitting streak to 17 games, and host Los Angeles beat San Francisco to move above .500 for the first time since May 27.

Rays 3, Blue Jays 2: Carlos Pena homered, and Edwin Jackson (7-7) won consecutive starts for the first time since April as Tampa Bay beat Toronto. The Rays won for the fourth time in six road games .
Yankees 13, Orioles 3: Bobby Abreu hit 2 homers, and Alex Rodriguez also went deep as host New York avoided a three-game sweep by routing Baltimore.
Royals 4, Athletics 3 (10): Jose Guillen drove in the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly in the 10th, and Kansas City completed its first three-game sweep in Oakland in 20 years.
Rangers 4, Mariners 3: Josh Hamilton hit his team-leading 25th homer and collected his major-league-best 104th RBI to lead host Texas past Seattle. Michael Young had the go-ahead RBI with a pinch-hit sacrifice fly in the eighth.
Angels 9, Red Sox 2: Garret Anderson went 4-for-5 with a homer and 4 RBI, Joe Saunders earned his 14th win, and Los Angeles swept host Boston.
Tigers 14, Indians 12 (13): Kelly Shoppach tied a major-league record with 5 extra-base hits, including a game-tying homer in the ninth, but it came in a losing effort as Detroit outlasted host Cleveland in 13 innings.
