Green energy policy doesn't make sense
Environmentalists and their 'green' supporters, i.e. Al Gore, he of let's rid ourselves of carbon fuels in 10 years, use the argument that drilling for domestic oil and gas will do little to alleviate today's high prices, while taking 10 years to come on line.
It is better to start relying on biofuels, solar and wind power and geothermal sources to gain our energy independence.
Forget for the time being that the infrastructure to fully utilize these alternatives is decades away from being able to distribute these new energy sources even if these fuels were ready to use today, which they are not and won't be for longer than the 10 years Al Gore envisions for us to be carbon-free.
Hybrid cars and plug-ins are the favorite modes of transportation being touted by environmentalist. What are the 160 million plus vehicles supposed to plug into for their battery rechargings? The greenies are opposed to nuclear power plants that emit no carbon dioxide and are opposed to drilling for the necessary natural gas supplies to help propel hybrids.
What are these vehicles supposed to run on ... hot air?!
There's no shortage of that when it comes to a sensible energy policy.
