Thanks for making Honor Flight special

I would like to thank the organization Honor Flight Chicago for a fantastic job they did in taking care of my father and uncle on their trip to Washington, D.C. on June 25. My father and uncle are both in their 80s and are both WWII vets. They were selected along with other WWII vets for an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. to see the war memorials and other sites in our nation's capital. From the time I left them at Midway Airport in the morning until the time I picked them up the same night, they both were in the best of care. When they landed in Washington they said they all were treated like royalty. They were taken to all the war memorials and other points of interest. They were given souvenirs and served food and the surprises they got on the flight back and at the airport when they returned will be something they both will remember and cherish for the rest of their lives. They both said they never shook so many hands and received so many "thank you's" for their service to our country. I can't begin to tell you all how happy and proud they both were. Mary Pettinato and all involved with Honor Flight Chicago did a fantastic job making sure everyone showed their thanks for our heros of the war, and I would like to thank all of them from the bottom of my heart.
