Prospect Hts. turns deaf ear to residents

The city of Prospect Heights seems to do as they please and doesn't care what the average citizen wants. We moved to P.H. over 35 years ago because of its country atmosphere. The people have voted down getting Lake Michigan water.

Yet, in a new area with expensive homes, they want and will be getting Lake Michigan water. I'm referring to an article in the Herald on July 17. Why are they allowed water? Why are bonds being issued? Doesn't that mean the taxpayers of Prospect Heights are responsible for the cost?

Our city has no money. The roads in our subdivision are in terrible shape and haven't been repaired in over 30 years. I'd rather have the roads repaired and continue to use well water.

Buying bottled water and the cost of maintaining our well is much less expensive than paying for piping and Lake Michigan water. We are retired and on a fixed income. Let the voices of the people be heard!
