Kirk beholden to corporate donors

Congressman Mark Kirk has made a promise to his constituents. He's promised to have "Thoughtful, Independent Leadership," and yet he has delivered anything but that. On the recent FISA bill the Congressman demonstrated his lack of independence by voting in favor of granting immunity to the telecommunications industry, which incidentally has given him more than $80,000 through its PACs.

Congressman Kirk's "Thoughtful Independent Leadership," appears to be up for sale, and it looks like all that is needed is $80,000 to pay your way out of any crime. What's worse is that he has hidden this gross misuse of Congressional authority behind the guise of saving American lives from a terrorist threat that seems to get ratcheted up around election season and when the Congressman is looking to protect his corporate partners. Mark Kirk is supposed to be our representative in Congress, but it seems he has another more important clientele. What we need in the 10th District is real "Thoughtful, Independent Leadership" not another corporately owned Congressman.
