Woman dies after jumping from hospital parking deck

An Arlington Heights woman died after jumping from a parking deck at Northwest Community Hospital at about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to police.

The woman was in her late 40s, said Cmdr. Ken Galinski of the Arlington Heights Police Department.

"She has some psychological issues," said Galinski who isn't releasing the woman's name until her family is notified.

The woman also left behind a note, Galinski said.

The hospital is located at 800 W. Central Road in Arlington Heights. No one else was injured in the incident, Galinski said.
