Thanks for support of golf invitational

On behalf of the board and staff of the Marianjoy Foundation, I extend sincere thanks to the nearly 150 golfers and dinner guests who so generously supported and attended Marianjoy's 20th Annual Golf Invitational and Benefit Dinner held at Cantigny Golf on Monday July 14. This year's event theme, "Believing and Achieving", reflected the positive spirit of determination and progress demonstrated by our patients, clinical staff, volunteers, board members, and the many donors and supporters who provide generous, ongoing financial support. During the benefit dinner, Marianjoy "Par Excellence" Awards were presented to Cantigny Golf and to George Zola for their significant contributions to helping individuals with disabilities regain ability to enjoy their lives more fully through the game of golf. These awards are given annually as an ongoing tribute to Joe Jemsek.

Many thanks to our event committee members, to co-chairs Steve Danekas of Swanson Martin & Bell, LLC and Maureen Buckley, and to the more than 40 terrific day-of-event event volunteers. Proceeds from this year's event, raffle drawing, silent auction and other activities will support the continuation of Marianjoy's popular Therapeutic Golf Program and enhancements to our outpatient services. Thank you to everyone for enabling us to continue "Believing & Achieving"!
