Bush abusing executive privilege

The Bush Administration needs to be reined in before the end of its reign. The Almighty One once again asserts his claim of executive privilege in denying Congress access to information needed to investigate the CIA leak.

From the very first year of their reign when they would not reveal the proceedings for their Secret Energy Task Force, they have refused to be cooperative at any attempts by Congress to exert any oversight of their activities. Wonder what the energy task force said about their aims for gasoline prices?

The Bush regime interpretation of executive privilege basically says that Congress has no right whatsoever to investigate any activity of the executive branch.

In the name of being champions of democracy and freedom they are above the law themselves and are also responsible for setting up a Gulag reminiscent of the Soviet Union or Communist Chinese prisons. We are holding prisoners for six years or more with no formal charges being filed and little hope for real trials where they have legal counsel. And to top it off we torture the prisoners while they are there.

Makes me proud to be an American.
