Elgin teen shot in arm

A 16-year-old boy was shot in an arm at 11:44 p.m. Thursday on Elgin's east side, police said.

Four or five shots were fired at the teen from a moving vehicle in the area of Waverly Drive and Spring Hill Court north of Golf Road, police said.

The victim was taken to Sherman Hospital.

No one was in custody as of Friday afternoon, police said.

Two large bullet holes were visible Friday morning in the side of a garage nearby.

Police were going door to door in the area late Thursday and early Friday asking residents if they saw or heard anything.
